A button is renamed, and the walkthrough video has to change with it. Built by DeckTalk from the script below.

Installs uv, then DeckTalk. Never runs sudo. Two more lines make a film with no key, a click on each word where the voice will be.

Each ## N. heading is one of the film's four sections. The numbers are the script's own, kept from a longer draft, so they run 1, 2, 5 and 7. A [voice a] or [voice b] line hands the next turn to that voice, and each turn is its own take. A [pause] is a silence of that many seconds. The underlined words are cue phrases: a picture lands on each one. Sections 2 and 5 end on a real DeckTalk film playing in the frame, in its own voice; its words are shown after the script's.
1. Build it 0:00
[voice a] Every time someone renames a button, I have to record our walkthrough video again and line up every highlight by hand. [pause 0.8]
[voice b] Then let's make it from text. I write what the video should say, the way I'd say it. The slide is just a web page of the invoice screen. [pause 1.5]
[voice a] So where does the timing come from, if you never set it anywhere?
[voice b] The voice sets it. When the script is voiced, every word gets a time, and a cue puts a ring on the button when it says click Share. One command builds it.
2. Here's the film 0:32
[voice b] Here's the film it built, voiced from the script.
[the film it built] Open any invoice, and check the total. Click Share, and your client has it before you close the tab.
5. One word 0:44
[voice a] Okay, the ring landed right as it said Share. Now say they rename it to Send. [pause 0.8]
[voice b] That's just one word. I replace Share with Send in the script, the slide and the cue. [pause 2.5]
[voice a] So now the whole video gets voiced again. [pause 0.7]
[voice b] Only the line that changed gets voiced again. Everything else is kept as it was.
[the rebuilt film] Click Send, and your client has it before you close the tab.
7. DeckTalk 1:11
[voice a] It waited for Send, and nobody had to record anything. [pause 0.8]
[voice b] That's DeckTalk. You write the script and the slides, and it makes the narrated video, with every picture on its word. It's open source, at decktalk dot AI.
